Know bioregion is an amateur-status sage ability in the study of Geography which gives knowledge about the flora and fauna of the character's locus and surrounded locus, as well as other features complimenting the known infrastructure. This includes, but is not limited to, the location of the following:
- most fertile lands, developed or undeveloped
- cleanest, purest spring water to be found
- sylvan woodlands
- mountains or hills most promising for prospecting
- migration choke point or trails, along with grazing lands best for hunting
- favorite ponds or watercourses for catch fishing or net fishing
- available bush tucker
Some knowledge (as details are made available) will be known regarding the possible location of certain plants, herbs, shrubs or trees. The probable location of local species of animals, as well as monstrous creatures, can be placed by the character, in relation to populated areas, croplands, hinterlands and wilderness. However, specifics will not be known about where creatures lair, nest or burrow, nor what number of said creatures may be found.
