NOthing significant remains of the city itself and of its famous sanctuary of Osiris, but large tracts of the city are covered by the desert — and though tombs have been found in the area, there is a large probability that many might exist still.

The most important remaining legend says that the grave of Osiris is laid here, the god having taken his leave of the [[Prime Material (inner plane)|Prime Material]] plane at a time during the Middle Kingdom (2052 to 1778 <small>BC</small>).
