Strength (spell).jpg

Strength increases the recipient's ability stat "strength" by 1-8 points, regardless of character class. This increase affects the chance to hit and the amount of damage caused by the character, as well as making changes to the character's encumbrance limitations. Thus, through the spell, the character's overall movement allowance could also be affected.

Strength
Range touch
Duration 6 rounds per level
Area of Effect 1 creature
Casting Time 1 round
Saving Throw none
Level mage (2nd)

Character's who find their strength increased above 18 by the spell should acquaint themselves of rules relating to percentile strength. As explained there, a "17" strength improved by 8 points would progress to 18, 18/01, 18/11 and so on until 18/61. An "18/67" strength improved by 8 points would progress to 18/77, 18/87, 18/97, 18/00, 19, 20, 21 and finally to 22.

These strengths are possible through the spell's magic. The body's natural sinews are strengthened and sustained as well, else the feats performed while affected by the spell would likely tear the character apart.
