Mindfulness is a sage study in the field of the Way of the Spirit, practicing heightened self-awareness, enabling the character to strengthen themselves, withstand supernatural forces and counteract the body's natural impulses towards hunger, the need for sleep, emotional weaknesses and other similar limitations.

Sage Abilities

The sage abilities below are those acquired by a character through the study, according to status.

Amateur Status


Authority Status

  • Mind Rest: enables the monk to remain conscious while "resting."
  • Close Mind: resistance against ESP, sleep and charm spells.


Expert Status


Sage Status

  • Appeasement: the power to eject unwelcome spirits, inhabitants or visitors into the consciousness of the monk.
