'''Hold Animal''' holds animals of any size rigid for the duration of the spell. Those chosen for the spell are entitled to a [[Saving Throws|saving throw]]. The spell affects animals only; it has no effect against magical creatures such as manticores, [[Gorgon|gorgons]], [[Harpy|harpies]], [[Chimera|chimera]], fire salamanders, flame snakes, nightmares and so on.
